The inReach Mini 3 Plus is Garmin's smallest satellite communicator with a color touchscreen and full two-way photo + voice messaging — a Mini-sized version of what the Messenger Plus brought to the line in 2024. Like every inReach, it runs on the Iridium satellite network, routes SOS calls through Garmin Response's 24/7 emergency-dispatch center, and shares location via the LiveTrack feature.
The Plus adds three things over the regular Mini 3: a color touchscreen (the Mini 3 has a simple monochrome display with button input), 30-second voice messages with transcription, and photo sharing via the Garmin Messenger app. Texts run to 1,600 characters (vs. the standard inReach 160), and group chat with emojis and reactions works through the paired smartphone. Garmin claims up to 330 hours of battery life in 10-minute tracking mode.
IP67 water-resistant, built for impact and temperature extremes. An active inReach satellite subscription is required; consumer plans start at $14.99/month.
