Free Entrance Day: Theodore Roosevelt's Birthday

On October 27, entrance fees are waived at national parks for the birthday of Theodore Roosevelt, the conservation president who signed the Antiquities Act and placed roughly 230 million acres under federal protection. It is one of the National Park Service's fee-free days. The waiver covers entrance fees only and, for 2026, applies to U.S. citizens and residents; other fees still apply.
